Ah. I gotcha. I misunderstood. Sorry about that.

you know, one would think you are correct but, rather bluntly, I’ll be damned if I know who it is or even if it exists. It’s never been an issue and, prior to now, seems so basic and easy that I would suppose there is no oversight. If there is, it is likely on the state level when the parties petition to put their candidates names on the ballots. I would be astounded if there is anything nationally on the Fed level. Probably all state stuff and probably pretty pro forma, ie.e just make sure the correct boxes are checked.

So IOW, back to when BHO ran for the US House of Representatives, US Senate, and possibly even the IL State Senate (I don’t know the requirements in IL) it was just assumed that he met all the citizenship requirements.

It certainly seems to prove the old saw about those who ass u me.
