Never mind. I was being insulting. I apologize, I am very upset right now and I took it out on you. My apologies.

If “We the People” don’t have standing to challenge the qualifications for President, then who does? The States? A congressman? Is that what we have to do? Force the Minority Whip and the Senate Minority leader to bring suit in SCOTUS? Is that what we have to do?

If the Consitiution is not a document that we that people can DEMAND be enforced, then we are lost.

Hey, don’t you worry one bit. =) Apology more than accepted and god knows I have done my share of insulting. =) You probably have a long way to go to catch up to me.

Oh, and I share your strong feelings. I just need to make sure and put the remote on the other side of the room on Nov 4 JUST in case soit won’t end up in my TV screen. =)

Well, your argument of “We The People” is valid and is the one made in all of those cases. However, while SCOTUS decided that the damage wasn’t personal enough to create standing in those tax and other cases, what they were really doing was practical. They don’t want citizens to be able to sue because they would then have to contend with, literally, millions of new lawsuits and the system just can’t handle them. They ruled that the people are protected since their representattives can sue for them.

So who has standing? Pretty much who you said, the Senate, AG., States, the House, etc.
