Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Jennifer Hudson's mother was one of two victims shot and killed in Chicago earlier today.
A neighbor tells TMZ the other victim was Jennifer's brother Jason. A cousin who lived nearby discovered the bodies.
We're told the two bodies were found dead on the scene at 2:44 PM. When the fire department arrived and discovered the bodies, police were brought in and the home was declared a crime scene.
A call to Hudson's rep was not immediately returned.

Seems premeditated by a sinister somebody...t’was no accident,that’s for sure.
But who? & why?
Hopefully police will solve the mystery and arrest the perp(s)
asap.

Instead of 50 posts asking who she is and who she campaigns for, can't we just be sorry for this talented, beautiful YOUNG woman who has just lost her family members in such a horrible way?? And to think that her 7-year old nephew has been kidnapped and the police are not holding out much hope for him. I'm practically in tears for this young woman and I have never even met her or heard her songs. She was fantastic in "Dreamgirls" though.
She is in my prayers. And I am desperately praying that her nephew is found alive and well and returned to his mother.
And I'll refrain from saying anything to the idiots making the nasty, completely unnecessary comments about Chicago and community organizing in a thread about a young woman's life that has just been completely devastated by violence.

Just heard on WLS radio that the body of a young boy was found. Suspect it was her nephew.
Sad.
Thank you for the update, Mary. This whole family, and especially the child's mother, is in my prayers. If you could please keep us posted and let us know if this is her nephew, I'd really appreciate it.
