That is a despicable thing for any priest to say, and immoral and inexcusable to say from the pulpit during Mass. Fr. Benedict Groeschel advises good Catholics to immediately get up and walk out on an occasion such as that. I was surprised to hear him say that would be the right thing to do, we Catholics are too over-conditioned to be polite; at that point the priest has desecrated the pulpit and you are obliged to express your refusal to accept it.

I am in a difficult situation. This is a new Parish for me, having moved about a year ago. Initially, I had my doubts about this Parish, but some favorable homilies kept me optimistic. Now this. Normally, I am not shy about these things. I had some words with the Pastor at a Parish that I was visiting and my concern regarding the pro-abortion Democrat that the Pastor was supporting. The Pastor literally walked away from me mid-sentence. I am reluctant to say anything. Any suggestion as to how I can handle this situation? I was thinking about writing an anonymous letter.
