It sure sets precedence for the Gubmint to control anyone’s wealth
You don’t even see the full ramifications of this potential 401k seizure. What they are doing is putting limits on the American dream. They are trying to make sure that Americans do not accumulate wealth, at least not any more wealth than is “fair”.
They are making sure that retirement from work is retirement from life. After all, they will need to preserve the precious medical dollars for the more productive people in our society.Seniors will be a drain on society and will not be an important voting block, either.
If that happens, it really will be like the Soviet Union conquered us. Between naked confiscation of wealth, and blatant supression of Free Speech (Unfairness Doctrine), they are determined to turn our country into another Banana Republic. Maybe they should remember that under those conditions, the peaceful transfer of political power ceases to exist.
