Republicans out of Musgrave seat, too (RNC Won't Help Strong Conservative!)
Politico ^ | 10/22/08

...Multiple sources with knowledge of GOP spending decisions tell The Scorecard the National Republican Congressional Committee has pulled ad money from Colorado's Fourth Congressional District, where Rep. Marilyn Musgrave faces a difficult race for a fourth term.

The NRCC has already invested just over $800,000 on Musgrave's behalf, including a $376,000 media buy this week, according to FEC reports filed Monday. Those ads will continue to run, leaving Musgrave without GOP backing for the final week before Election Day.

Musgrave is the conservative who, last election cycle, had an envelope full of dung shoved in one of her offices by a tolerant Democrat.

I sent her $$ then.

Folks, the grass roots needs to support conservatives. Marilyn is one of 'em. Please give what you can.

Despair is tempting, but we need to go down fighting.

Bump. We should all be ashamed at how badly we are getting beaten by the Dailykos and Moveon.org folks in fund raising.

They’re pulling money because the grassroots funding dried up faster than sagebrush in Santa Ana winds. That’s what happens when you flip the bird to your grassroots and support RINOs and liberal causes.

P.S. I also believe that while Marilyn Musgrave has outspent her socialist opponent, the extra-liberal group “EMILYs LIST” has spent over $1 million against Marilyn...more than even Marilyn has spent on her own ads.

Socialist/Commies trying to buy this election. We must defeat them.

Also what happens when the media pimp polls saying that Obama is leading 12 points for over a month.

Maybe the seat is safe.

Ever think of that?

Jeesh!

It is also easy to see that when the funding is cut, the Conservatives are the first to feel the knife.

Through all this advertising only one group makes money: the press that is causing the problems in the first place.

You have to fight evil by supporting evil?

I hear you, but remember, MoveOn has slimebutts like Soros bankrolling them. What do we have on FR? Just ordinary folks who ante up what they can, $20 here, $50 there. The ‘Rats have always been the party of the super-rich. Conservatives have always been “the little people” (financially speaking). But at least we're honest folks, and you can't put a price tag on that. The slimy liberal ‘Rats have their amoral souls bought and sold in the marketplace like cattle by scum such as Soros and Lewis. At least we have our integrity and self-respect. In the end, I think we'll be judged the better off.

Politico is already declaring my congressman to be defeated as well. Personally I think they’re trying to manufacture losses that don’t really exist.

In many races I suspect that people have quit giving money to the GOP and are instead giving directly to the candidates.

There’s only so much RNC cash to go around. Maybe they determined that her seat is now safe and they can move on elsewhere. Or maybe this is a bunch of b.s. Politico is trying to discourage us folks...thy’re a left leaning, Washington Post sponsored garbage can and this tidbit is only a rumour from them. If their atricles are trash what’s that make their rumours?

The RNC has never been comfortable with conservatives.

Last I heard the RNC was outraising the DNC by a HUGE margin. As of the end of August the RNC had 75 MILLION cash on hand while the DNC had just 7 Million.

I substitute activism for cash, to me if you can bring 4 people to the polls each election, that equates to a heck of pile of fundraising dollars.

The news is coming from multiple sources;

- http://www.cqpolitics.com/wmspage.cfm?docid=news-000002978561
- http://thehill.com/leading-the-news/religious-right-group-criticizes-gopers-for-abandoning-two-of-their-own-2008-10-23.html

This is disheartening. Rep. Musgrave is PRECISELY the type that we need to endure stays in Congress this term.
