Russian airliner hijacked - sources
MOSCOW. Oct 24 (Interfax) - A passenger on an airliner flying from the Russian Black Sea resort of Adler to Moscow shouted “Allahu akbar” and told his fellow passengers at that he had seized the aircraft and
had demanded that the plane fly to Vienna, a source in Russian law enforcement agencies told Interfax on Friday.
The Boeing 735 airliner was due to land at Moscow’s Vnukovo airport at 5:45 p.m.
Five ambulances and a vehicle from the Emergency Medical Assistance Center have been sent to the airport. Another five ambulances have been reserved.
Transportation Ministry spokesman Timur Khikmatov told Interfax the ministry so far had not information on the alleged hijack.
