Being a US citizen isn’t disputed here as in Senator Obama’s case. All the same, there’s a subjective quality to what the Panama Canal Zone was. Senator McCain would be the first one to test this idea of what is a “natural born citizen” beyond the 50 states and DC. Point.
funny that factcheck posted that they have seen and touched the hard copy birth certificate when what they looked at is a computer generated short form certificate, most likely prnted in 2007. If O had been adopted, as some speculate, he might never have the chance to see his long form birth original birth cert.
He’s hidin’ sumpin.
In Swahili, Barack means Bernice.
I believe that all they have to do is swear that they are eligible. Also, there is no agency designated to oversee eligibility issues. That might be something that we want to correct. But, as Philip Berg said, no one has ever tried to run for POTUS that wasn’t a US citizen. It makes me wonder even more if this is why he won’t release his medical and educational records. Berg did have documentation from his school enrollment in Indonesia that showed him to be named Barry Soetero an Indonesian of Islamic faith. Only Indonesians could attend school at that point in time. Big political problems in Indonesia at the time.

What is the deal with Obama’s birth certificate and citizenship status?
Pamela Gellers at Atlas Shrugs raises some apparent shenanigans with the birth certificate the Obama campaign previously produced. Meanwhile, Philip J. Berg, a former Deputy AG of Pennsylvania and a professed Hillary supporter, filed a lawsuit claiming Obama is not constitutionally eligible to be president; instead of simply clearing up any questions which you would think would take about five minutes Obama’s lawyers moved to dismiss the suit and failed to file a timely answer, meaning that, under the applicable rules (according to Berg), Obama is legally deemed to have admitted Berg’s allegations that he is constitutionally ineligible to be president.
Admittedly, I’ve ignored this issue up until now on the theory that if there was anything here worth looking at, surely the Hillary and McCain campaigns would have raised it. But this all seems very strange. It’s not just a matter of whether Obama was born in Hawaii Berg claims he wasn’t, but most others seem to agree he was (though the publicly available proof seems shaky at this point). There is also the question whether he was also a citizen of one or more other countries (Kenya? Indonesia?) and whether that means, as a matter of law, that he could not be a “natural born” citizen as required by the Constitution.
Has anyone around here looked into this? Is it a serious issue, and why does Obama seem to be so squirmy about it?
bttt
No problem, I do it too. :)
Your idea is logical, so is Defiant’s. Some are just wacky.
Buhbye, Grammy.
Funny too that Factcheck is backed by the Annenberg Foundation...the foundation where Bill Ayers and Barack Obama sat on the board....are we seeing a pattern here?
One of the only hopes is Melanie Phillips a journalist in the U.K. who has been writing stories about Obama, and she does have the information about Obama’s C.O.L.B.
Birth cert = cert of live birth registered after his birth in Kenya.
Until Obama releases his BC, it is not a sure thing where he was born.
And Annenberg supports ACORN....and on and on....wheeee!
That is very plausible, but it is one of many possible reasons. No way to know at this point, but someone needs to force some disclosure.
Pattern indeed. Perhaps a freeper from Hawaii could enlighten us here.
1. Can an adopted child obtain a duplicate of a long form birth certificate, or is that against the rules?
2. When the short form generated cert is printed, does it already include the raised seal and the stamped Alvin T Onaka designation?
“Also, there is no agency designated to oversee eligibility issues.”
And you know this how?
Plus, with his associations, he wouldn’t be able to get a simple security clearance.
I discovered this article, folded away among my birth certificate and old vaccination forms, ...
Not so fast...he doesn't say it's an AMERICAN Birth Certificate...
