I know that it sounds cut-throat, but McCain could use this, saying something like, "Senator Obama has called on his supporters to 'get in our faces' and now we find out that a young woman, a loyal-campaign worker who is a volunteer, was violently attacked and the letter 'B' was literally carved in her face. Senator Obama, is this the kind of 'in their faces' that you were talking about? I deplore this violence and eagerly anticipate Obama's statement deploring this violence in his name"
I totally agree. Let them condemn 0bama’s incendiary rhetoric and try and place the blame for this act right on him. McC or Palin must go to see this woman in the hospital or at her home. Not only to bring some comfort to her but also to try to get some attention on an act that probably will be ignored by the Demo controlled media.
If it turns out this was a “hate crime” then we can expect the “news” media to ignore it unless the candidates make a big enough stink about it. And they should.
A statement like that would be turned against us. A simple “And we all pause to pray for the young McCain/Palin supporter who was brutally attacked and had a B carved into her face in Pittsburgh. Hopefully, this isn’t a trend”
If McCain has any grit at all, he has to speak to this.
People have put themselves out and put themselves at risk on his behalf. If they can risk themselves for him, the least he can do is stand up and speak for them.
You can't expect the press or the Dems to do this for you. In their playbook its only negative when you answer back. McCain's people need to hear from McCain.
You can bet that if this happened the other way that the left would LEAP to lay it on Palin and McCain’s “mean spirited” campaign. (I have not seen them being mean at all somehow).
Obama needs to be called out on all the intimidation and harassment that his supporters have done to McCain supporters.
The msm will minimize this by claiming it’s just a theft.
I believe that is the only way people will hear about the incident, and that will be from the disbelieving press.
