I have the same problem; but at least the dyed in the wool Dem friends in question live at opposite end of the country from me, so e-mail is our only contact these days. We have cut back on the amount of mail and agreed to avoid the entire subject when we DO write.

Both friends do “know” the dangers of Obama and his associates and socialism, etc., but CHOOSE to ignore it. As for me, I am turning myself into a John Galt.............

I used to think that liberal Jewish people were concerned about the fate of Israel I no longer do.

It's true that many of them are "self-hating Jews" who oppose Israel as a way of apologizing for who they themselves are. My SIL is one of the exceptions. She's religious, proud of being Jewish, and a passionate supporter of Israel.

If so, wouldn’t she leave out the names?

If she leaves out names, why would you want to read this book? (assuming you would be interested in reading it in the first place)

Israel is one of the only allies we have in the mid-East. They have always supported us unconditionally. Yet all the muzzies in the area want to destroy them. How can any Jewish person who claims to care about Israel in good conscience vote for a muslim like obabma.

The ability to discuss such topics logically, courteously, and dispassionately is a skill that used to be common among educated Americans. Unfortunately it's largely been lost. Public schools would sow the seeds of their own destruction if they taught courses on logic, critical thinking, or debate. Their purpose now is to indoctrinate and turn out ignorant and easily manipulable "graduates".

Yes, it would explain a lot. My real concerns are not whether or not Zero is a citizen, or who his real parents are/were, but all the mystery surrounding his entire background — including upbringing and then mostly his associations, from college and beyond — there are so MANY questions about his affiliations/friends/mentors etc.

I just do not believe this person, who I believe to be a Marxist, should be CIC of this country — not now — not ever. I believe, based on what has been pieced together, that he and his cohorts pose a great danger to us.

I've had some 'agree to disagree' understanding with some Dems. However, being liberals, they can never stick to it. They have to throw in some snide comments now and then or always have the last word. I think it comes down to libs think people are stupid (and therefore need handouts, excuses when they don't do well, etc). Therefore, to them I am just uneducated or stubborn and must be persuaded. It couldn't possibly be that I intelligently and rationally looked at the facts and data and came to my own conclusion!

I believed that as well. A Jewish friend of mine, lifelong Dem, age 65, still working as a substitute teacher in ghettos of Los Angeles, hates blacks. I mean he DETESTS them.

Yet, he will vote for Obama. Teachers’ union tells members how to vote in every election and that means vote Obama too. I asked this friend how he could vote for Obama when he hates all blacks as much as he does. He didn’t have an answer, really, and then I asked if he did not, as a Jew, feel some loyalty to Israel. He flatly said NO, I have no interest in Israel at all.

So there you have it. This is a dyed in the wool Dem who has always voted for the Dem NO MATTER WHAT. And this dynamic is evident all over the country. I truly believe these people deserve what they will get with Obama. I just lament that I have to try to continue living here, too. I am turning myself into John Galt as much as possible.
