It would require an Amendment.... Which is potentially the reason for delay and the play would be get him elected first by legal wrangling the production of this cert then after he is elected deal with the Drama of amending the Constitution...
The Constitution goes to great length to ensure that only a natural born US citizen can be President. It’s amazing that there is no formal procedure to check on a candidate’s citizenship before he is sworn in as President. We are probably going to need an Act of Congress to compel an agency to define a procedure. Meanwhile, any challenge to a candidate can be easily thwarted, as we are witnessing now.
