Anyone who thinks that same-sex “marriage” is a benign eccentricity which won’t affect the average person should consider what it has done in Massachusetts. It’s become a hammer to force the acceptance and normalization of homosexuality on everyone. And this train is moving fast. What has happened so far is only the beginning...

The thing is, when the Mass supreme court ruled that gay marriage needed to be allowed in that State, the legislature had the ability to override that decision through a constitutional amendment. They failed to do so and, as far as I know, were not punished for such failure by the electorate.
Which leads me to believe that people in Mass aren’t all that opposed to gay marriage, at least not enough to really do anything about it. I suppose that’s fine- I support each state being allowed to make its own decisions on this matter, so long as other states are not required to recognize such marriages if they do not want to.
If one wishes to overturn the centuries old definition of marriage, then sure, why not? Bob and Debbie could also incorporate a sheep into their marriage. Anything goes, right? It's all genetic, after all. Blah, blah, blah.
Personally, I choose to do what I can to maintain the traditional defintion of marriage as between a man and a woman (with 'not closely related' being an unspoken given).
For now, you could go with a private adoption where you get to screen the potential parents. But it is only a matter of time until the homo activists attack that as well.

That’s odd. Some republicans wanted Mitt Romney to be the next president. What has happened to the Republican party?
The exact same course of events would befall the military if they were forced to make it “legal” for homosexuals to serve openly.
Before long there would be demands for housing, travel orders, health care, adoption assitance, indoctrination, etc. etc. etc.
The people with these agendas know what they’re doing.

There is such a thing as destructive behavior that is what homosexual behavior is. That’s why your attempt to compare your situation to blacks is invalid. A behavior does not equal an immutable characteristic.

This isn’t about love. This is about a destructive behavior. For those who struggle and abstain, I can only feel compassion. For those who have yet to abstain, I can only hope that they will before their health becomes an issue. And you may know that health is an issue even without AIDS looming out there.
Another log cabin republican here that has never and would never tolerate the abuse of a child OR teenager. Sorry, but child molesters come in the heterosexual form, too.
What’s more- if a 13 year old was being “passed around” in any gay bar that I frequent, you can be most assured that the offenders would be beaten within an inch of their lives if they were LUCKY. How the poster who claims he saw that and just let it slide can live with himself is beyond my capacity...
If you are giving up a baby for adoption, you should do it privately. There are attorneys who will handle everything and help YOU pick the couple YOU choose, and it can be an open adoption, meaning you each will know who the other is. If their child will be curious to see you one day, it can be arranged. The adoptive parents will pay all the attorney fees.
No one has to adopt through an agency that may be bound to let the child go to a gay couple by some law. Take some control. Seek out a lawyer who is probably already working for some great couples and will match you right away. There are FAR MORE great couples desperate to have a baby than pregnant girls wishing to give up their babies.
