Palin Supports McCain’s Plan for Amnesty for ILLEGALS

Palin addresses issues on television interview

Republican Vice Presidential candidate and Alaska governor Sarah Palin addressed issues yesterday relating to Latin America, including Hugo Chavez and illegal immigration, in her first interview with a Spanish-language network. The interview began with Univision anchor, Jorge Ramos asking Palin to clarify recent statements she and Republican Presidential candidate John McCain have made, characterising Senator Barack Obama’s tax proposals as “socialist”. Palin denied ever having called Obama a socialist directly.

The interview quickly turned to US nemesis, leftist Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, who has repeatedly claimed the US is planning to attack Venezuela. However, Palin said military action was a last resort. “We hate war. We want peace. “We want through negotiation and sanctions if need be to put pressure on a dictator like Hugo Chavez, to let them see that they will not mess around with America the way that they want to,” she said.

The governor also addressed illegal immigration, saying she and McCain supported a two-pronged approach of securing the border and then working with undocumented workers already in the US.

“There is no way that in the US we would roundup every illegal immigrant - there are about 12 million of the illegal immigrants.

“We - our policy - John McCain has been so clear with his policy and it makes a lot of sense too.

“We secure our borders first. But then with a comprehensive approach we must deal humanely with those who are here, and we must allow the steps to be taken to protect the families of those who are here, maybe as illegal immigrants today,” she said.

McCain has made an effort to reach out to Latino voters, a constituency that could prove key in swing states in November’s election. Latino support for the Republican Party ebbed earlier this year following a bruising battle over illegal immigration. - Reuters

Do you understand what the media would do with that?

I think he understands. Nihilism is neither left or right. It just is. I hope it's confined to this thread.

Don’t know what the media would’ve done but last I heard supporting Amnesty was a losing issue for both parties. Palin is running as a maverick, NOT a McCain yes girl, and it would be nice to know we have an ally on this issue with our possible VP, but at the moment it really doesn’t look like it.

Would it make you happy if she started running against McCain? There’s a muddy, pothole ridden road between us and that “Shinning City on the Hill”, and who ever gets us there will have the scars of a hard fought battle.

Compassionate conservatism rears its ugly head once again. I'm not surprised, but we still have to vote for them, because the alternative is much much worse.

In 2012 though, the GOP will not be getting my vote unless there are real conservatives on the ticket. No more pretenders. I will give my vote to McCain/Palin this time around, but that's it. If the GOP wants to keep on taking Conservatives for granted, they'll be in for a nasty surprise when the election results are tallied in 2012.

I already lost that fight. The GOP nominated Mr. Amnesty.

McCain can be reasoned with, Obama can’t.

It is what it is, McCain is the nominee, but Obama and his buddies will cause so many problems in so many areas that you’ll be longing for the days when immigration was your #1 concern. They must be stopped. Nothing else matters.

Win or lose, there is going to be a top-to-bottom rebuilding of the GOP.

If they truly secure the borders, THEN I would be willing to look at what is needed to handle the remaining problem. My guess is that IF they secure the borders, and enforce current laws on employment, there won’t be much of a problem left to handle.

I want to see the original source, not the blog entry.

What? But it could indicate that words may have been twisted or taken out of context, thereby depriving the dama queens of their daily freak-out.

People need to keep their eye on the big picture right now: VOTE AGAINST OBAMA. KEEP MARXISM AT BAY.

We can deal with the other stuff after that milestone.

And yes, I am vehemently anti-amnesty, anti-illegal alien.

The damage that Obama will do to America will be irreparable.

And by voting in fear, rather than standing on principle, the horse you (y'all) back will lose, and you will get what you fear the most.

It is never what you vote against. It is what you vote *for*.

I hope Hunter isn’t learning to cast his character aside to win an election. We have so few politicians left with good character, thanks to the voting habits of RINOs. Character matters, because it’s a good thing, not a bad thing.

You are about to vote for Obama. In a swing state no less. Slow down and think before doing something you’ll regret.

The stakes are too high for symbolic gestures. Save it for the 2010 mid-terms or the 2012 primaries if you’re still mad.

It amazes me how you hotheads will throw out McCain/Palin while Obama/Biden will not secure the borders and give true amnesty.
Do you people ever think?

COULD ANYTHING BE WORSE THAN THIS??

Obama’s speech to La Raza:
(La Raza (The Race), Largest Hispanic organization in the U.S.,Lobbies for racial preferences, bilingual education, stricter hate crimes laws, mass immigration, and amnesty for illegal aliens )

Obama pimps illegal aliens. Considering the additional violent crime, third word diseases they bring into this country and the billions of dollars it cost us to take care of them.

SHAMEFUL!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEITOQfKVmo
“I walked the walk. I talked the talk. I marched with you for “civil rights” of “immigrants”. (!!)

SHAMEFUL!!

Obama said the recent Senate immigration debate “was both ugly and racist in a way we haven’t seen since the struggle for civil rights.”

SHAMEFUL!!

Obama told La Raza that the mass protests lately of for immigration rights of Mexicans is equal in greatness to the civil rights protest of the past!

SHAMEFUL!!

Omama supports La Raza’s, the “DREAM Act,” which would mandate states to offer in-state tuition rates to illegal aliens — thus providing them with benefits not available to U.S. citizens from other states.

SHAMEFUL!!

The National Academy of Sciences has estimated that each immigrant without a high school degree will cost U.S. taxpayers, on average, $89,000 over the course of his or her lifetime.[3] This is a net cost above the value of any taxes the immi*grant will pay and does not include the cost of educating the immigrant’s children, which U.S. taxpayers would also heavily subsidize. In this way, the roughly six million legal immigrants without a high school diploma will impose a net cost of around a half-trillion dollars on U.S. taxpayers over their lifetimes

Obviously newbie, you have not followed this issue very closely. That’s OK. You’ll figure it out soon enough

Been here longer than you, Pops. Listening to Alex Jones on shortwave just doesn't give you the points you need. Try harder.
