Any bricklayer knows that the brick on the outside of a house, for example, is just a veneer. It's not structural. Doesn't hold anything up. Just hides the real structure inside.

Every brick removed here just exposes the all-along bent of the people naturally inclined to work in these don't-actually-produce-anything organizations.

The problem is that the AP and UPI and other national feeds are taking over where small papers fire people. Look at any downhome local paper....see how many column inches are being filled by AP/Reuters. Network TV takes cues from the NYT/AP/Reuters (drug companies killing granny on 'ER'...etc)

So while things seem to be crumbling, IMO, they are being consolidated into vertical propaganda outlets.
