There are so many Catholics who have labored in the noon-day sun in the 36 years since Roe V. Wade. In fact, for the first-response years right after Roe, we were the only ones in the van-guard to begin the counter-insurgency against the infamous Supreme Court decision.
Soon our fellow Christians joined us and even the Feminists for Life came on board.
The self-motivated Catholic politicians and the ineffective Catholic bishops were obstacles all along the way.
But now we are seeing bishop after bishop coming on board to speak out clearly and directly to all Catholics.
In an earlier post I said “Repent and recant”. That’s what pro-life Catholics are praying for—a public recanting of abortion by the “pro-choice” Catholic legislators, and a public act of repentance.
