And on a more personal note, has a celebrity endorsement or plea ever made you rethink your position on an important topic? Actually, yes. Anytime I hear Ben Affleck or Scarlett Johansson or any of those half-wits take a position on anything, I immediately take the opposite position, no matter what it is.
It's like a law of physics: When the perfectly stupid take a position, there can be only wisdom in its opposite.
Now, I can think of a position I would like to see her take...sigh. Such a perfect vessel for such a useless brain.
One of my favorite, FAVORITE scenes from a movie this year was in the "Get Smart" movie, where the evil guy was going to set off a bomb at the Oscar ceremony, and his henchman says: "Too bad about all those Hollywood Celebrities who will have to die.."
The bad guy answers in the driest, most wonderfully sarcastic tone:
"Yes. What WILL we do without their razor-sharp political opinions?"
I must say, that single line was worth the price of admission...:)
