A while back, France release a small snip of a video of John McCain taken while he was a POW. Now they've released the entire video. It's pretty long (and fascinating) but the McCain part starts a little over half way through.
Can you tell us what it shows?
It shows him being interviewed. First he is asked the questions in Vietnamese, then a French journalist translates them, then McCain answers them.
They ask him about getting shot down, about his injuries, how he’s being treated by the Viet Cong. One funny part, they ask him about the food and he says, “It’s not Paris, but I eat it.” LOL. That’s our John.
Then they ask him if he’s married, if he has any kids. They ask the names and age of his kids and he tells them. He’s getting choked up at this point.
Then they ask if there’s anything he’d like to say to people back home and he gives them a message to please tell his wife that he loves her and that he’s going to get well again. (At this point he’s really choking back tears). I had to grab a Kleenex at that point.
He said that that was all he had to say and repeated to please tell his wife that he was going to recover.
Thank you.
Office Depot has the McCain movie for sale for 5$. It’s really good. Actually it’s in a bin that sells 3 DVDs for $10.
Oh, I didn’t know that. Thank you! I have an Office Depot right down the road.
I watched the whole thing. Interesting things to watch for:
The whole run jump in the holes thing looks soooo staged.
Lots of armed men on the streets.
The casualties rescued from the buildings were absolutely spotlessly clean. Skin clean, clothes clean. When did that ever happen.
John McCain was a very fine looking young man and I admit, I cried. Wrenches you to know he was in pain and so far away from family and friends, even his own nation.
Let me know what you think of it..
Is there a way to download this, cut the scene for only the McCain POW video?
Is there any reason this is being released NOW? October Surprise for the tales that he “sold out” his country?
THANKS! Drudge links it too.
