Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell has written two separate memos to the Obama campaign in recent days begging for Sen. Obama to come back and campaign in his state. In the memos, Rendell, a former Hillary Clinton supporter, admits to being "a little nervous" about Obama's chances in the Keystone state. Rendell says that the McCain camp is making a strong push for Pennsylvania, with Sen. McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin spending significant time and resources there recently.
Rendell wants Sen. Obama to return to his state and make three appearances to blunt McCain's momentum. He recommends a visit to what Rep. Jack Murtha (D-PA) labeled "racist" Western Pennsylvania, followed by an appearance in the capital of Harrisburg and a "large rally" in Philadelphia. But Obama's presence alone will not seal the deal, according to Rendell. So he wants the Obama campaign to bring Sen. Clinton and former president Clinton along with him, presumably to smooth things over with Pennsylvania's small townspeople, whom Obama once derided as "bitter" gun-loving religious zealots.
The Obama campaign has been nervous about Pennsylvania since Clinton trounced Obama by 10 points in the primary there. The selection of Joe Biden as his running mate was as much about Biden's Scranton roots as it was about his foreign policy experience. And the campaign has good reason to worry. Obama's own internal polling shows him with only a two-point lead in the state. It's probably closer than that given that internal polls are notoriously skewed toward the campaign conducing them.

No! Barry HUSSEIN is rushing to Hawaii to try and hide his Birth Records from the Hawaii Supreme Court Law Suit that was filed on MONDAY demanding the release of his Birth Records!!!!!
Bravo!
I was at the first Mccain-Palin rally in Washington,PA with my 12 yr old son.
He did sound like Reagan in person.

We here in Pennsylvania strongly dislike doucheie HARVARD LAWYERS, specially those who loose their law licenses, who mock us and tell others we are bitter loosers who cling to Our religion, guns and pickup trucks, especially those young snot noses with absolutely no qualifications who spout off their lies to arugula munching Snobs on the West Coast like Bugeyes Piglousy:-)
Yea Rendell! You got big problems with Your Redneck Citizens here who don’t live on your Philly Street Money!
For some reason, I have a feeling McCain will win.
I can’t see Barack Obama as President. It’s a nearly apocalyptic scenario to have a guy who hates your country run your country.
Obama is in VA right now holding a rally, he’s not with his grandmomma.
What no NH going to McCain?
Somebody gave me the idea!
Just tell the Pennsylvania Governor that Scott Rasmussen believes the Liberal Messiah has effectively won the election; no need for the People to vote. [/sarc]
Rendell knows the FBI is watching their cheating votes in Philly! He knows the only way to win is stealing votes w/ A Corn. PA will go for McCain/Palin and they know it -— even w/ their cheating. Every urban center needs purple ink! The suburban - rural Americans had with these theives!
You can count on Kentucky being RED on election night.
Kentucky’s an interesting place. Like Pennsylvania. Kentucky’s not a state, it’s a commonwealth. It’s motto is “United We Stand Divided We Fall”.
Abraham Lincoln, the President of the United States during the first American Civil War and Jefferson Davis, President of the Confederate States of America, were born within 100 miles of each other in Kentucky.
Kentucky is at the center of seven states that all share borders with it, five of which are important Battleground states: Missouri, Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, & Virginia.
Kentuckians are the salt of the earth and passionately patriotic. Mark my words, Kentucky (supported by good ole Tennessee) will bolster the states that surround them into the RED by election eve!
Go McCain-Palin ‘08 - The Nation’s never needed you MORE!
“The One is coming back to Indianapolis tomorrow. Between the two of them, he and Michelles-no-belle have been here four out of the past five or six weeks. They must think that ultimately theyre going to need Indiana.”
Michelle was “not campaigning” in Indiana when she failed to accompany her husband to the World Trade Center for the Memorial service that John & Cindy McCain both attended.
McCain went earlier that day to the “field in Pennsylvania
and Bush opened the new 9/11 memorial garden at the Pentagon.
There’s no hope for us. However, I live in paradise (and stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night).
I voted McCain, but it’s a throw-away vote here(absentee).
I have relatives in the SW corner of MO, and have dutifully educated them.
I would be so saddened if my birth-state went for Zer0.
Here is my theory again which I think is especially true in PA. City employees, union employees and others who may in some way have their job due to the Dem Party have to be thinking real hard.
The Dem Party has become the Obama ACORN Dem Party. Obama cheated in the primaries especailly at the caucuses. He got whipped badly by Hillary in PA, FL and other states.
This is election may be the last chance for Hillary (white) Dems to get their party back. If Obama gets in - he will owe ACORN/SEIU and others a lot of favors. Those cushy city, union and other jobs held by (WHITE) Hillary Dems will be very attractive. A lot of ACORN folks will want those jobs.
Now the Clinton Dems can easily protect their job and get their party back by voting McCain.
The smarter ones will get it and may even clue in some of the dumber ones. I had a realtive who worked at a union job and if you are a Republican you keep your mouth shut.
True, Obama never stood a change in Virginia.
Is that Ithaca? (Green)
