All Im saying is for many, many years we operated under the fairness doctrine and we were well served. The discussion was at a higher level and more intelligent in those days than it has become since. End.”
Well in the 70’s when FM was taking off and their was nothing left to listen to on AM but a few AM morning drive shows and farm reports you could by a radio station for 25 cents on the dollar. This during the Fairness Doctrine.
Today after the repeal of this “Doctrine” in 1987 a whole new industry has grown to proportions never imagined at the time.
No wonder they hate it!

All Im saying is for many, many years we operated under the fairness doctrine and we were well served." Rush has just pointed out there were 125 talk radio stations before Ronald Reagan had the old Fairness Doctrine repealed. Today there are more than 2,000. (Sorry, didn't catch the specific number on that).
The discussion was at a higher level and more intelligent in those days than it has become since.
