I'm not so sure that 4% is enough. Zog may be right at about 6%. Hate to say it, but I've never seen the Dems this enthused about a candidate. Sure, its mostly African Americans and "young people", but they sure to look like they will turn out in droves.

Just how it goes people. While disheartened, I'm still not throwing in the towel, and I still plan to vote.

Same here. We just deal with what we get and pick up the pieces later.

Hang in there. This race is still tantalizingly close, regardless of what the national pollsters say. This is all about depressing turnout and morale.

And, we have critical Senate races to consider, so keep fighting in every state.

I have to agree. 6% seems about right.

I was at a library yesterday where they were doing one stop voting. These college aged punks were wheeling in old people in chairs and beds. I walked by and said “Bring out your dead for Obama.”

I will vote straight ticket, but I’m afraid this race is over.

There is no doubt they are enthused, but their turn out last time was good too, and they HATED George Bush in 2004 because he STOLE the 2000 election. The base was out in full force. That base has grown this year for sure, but they also lose some moderate dems that find Obama too far out there. Older voters in particular.

With the Palin addition, combined with a fear of Obama, I think our base will be out too. That is why I don’t think the margin will be that big. There has never been a 6% differene in party ID, and I think it would take a more serious enthusiasm gap that I am seeing. 30,000 people are making it out to see Palin. That’s a pretty good sign. I still think the Dems have an advantage in turnout, just not 6%.
