HENDERSON, Nev., Oct. 21 (UPI) -- Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, in an appearance Tuesday in Nevada, accused Barack Obama of discriminating against women.
Palin, accompanied by a handful of former Hillary Clinton supporters, said that the Democratic presidential nominee "couldn't bring himself to pick the woman who got 18 million votes in the primaries" when he chose a vice president, The Washington Post (NYSE:WPO) reported.
"The qualifications are there, but for some reason the promotion never comes," she said. "You've got to ask yourself, why wasn't Senator Hillary Clinton even vetted by the Obama campaign?"
Lynn Rothschild, a member of the Democratic Platform Committee, Elaine Lafferty, a former editor-in-chief of Ms. Magazine, and some local leaders of the National Organization for Women joined Palin at the Henderson Pavilion. One NOW chapter in Los Angeles has endorsed Palin.
Palin also charged that women in John McCain's campaign are paid more equally than those in the Obama campaign. An Obama aide acknowledged the disparity, telling the Post that McCain has more senior staff who are women.
A couple of the comments are right on but probably best not to quote them here on FR.
Like I said...I found the candle (it really looks like 0bama’s face) insulting. Good find on locating the Saint/Holy Card that the base photo was lifted from. Frighteningly, he IS the messiah to many.
I can see it for some of it, but it is so intrusive and won't use the words I'd rather, rigid.
Rhetorical flourishes, anyone?
First I looked for Fr. Junipero Serra, was thinking maybe Juan Diego but he wouldn't be portrayed as a priest or monk, then stumbled onto St. Martin.
