HENDERSON, Nev., Oct. 21 (UPI) -- Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, in an appearance Tuesday in Nevada, accused Barack Obama of discriminating against women.
Palin, accompanied by a handful of former Hillary Clinton supporters, said that the Democratic presidential nominee "couldn't bring himself to pick the woman who got 18 million votes in the primaries" when he chose a vice president, The Washington Post (NYSE:WPO) reported.
"The qualifications are there, but for some reason the promotion never comes," she said. "You've got to ask yourself, why wasn't Senator Hillary Clinton even vetted by the Obama campaign?"
Lynn Rothschild, a member of the Democratic Platform Committee, Elaine Lafferty, a former editor-in-chief of Ms. Magazine, and some local leaders of the National Organization for Women joined Palin at the Henderson Pavilion. One NOW chapter in Los Angeles has endorsed Palin.
Palin also charged that women in John McCain's campaign are paid more equally than those in the Obama campaign. An Obama aide acknowledged the disparity, telling the Post that McCain has more senior staff who are women.
Would any of you seriously be cheering a Democrat candidate who was saying these things? Obviously not. The mindless Sarah-worship is out of control. She could get up and say she thinks Marxism can provide the answers to our current financial crisis, and I swear the crowds of Sarah-worshippers would just cheer their heads off.
Exactly.
Never mind my question on post 20. It's pretty clear you have no idea how politics work.
Wrong Bozo. She embodies the conservative family values of millions.
I know full well how politics works, and I know that Barack Obama is being swept into the White House by the bumbling GOP candidates, at a time when our country can ill afford to have someone like Obama in the White House. We better pray that Obama gets caught in flagrante delicto screwing some blonde blue-eyed white bimbo within the next couple of weeks, because that’s about the only thing that will keep him from becoming President.
Sarah Palin is foxy in more ways than many men can see. She is using Obama's Hillary snub and his male-female staff pay disparity to appeal to the female voter.
Many females were originally taken by Obama's smooth style and youthful good looks, but now they can look at Obama like some good-looking guy that they knew at some point in their lives. He may look pretty and talk a smooth line, but when all is said and done, he's a self-absorbed, self-serving SOB.
JMO YMMV
This kind of identity-politics garbage has no place in a supposedly conservative party.
For a Democrat, those are credentials.
You have to ask? They ARE doing exactly that! Having an (R) after your name doesn't change the fact that when you spew 'Rat rhetoric, you're a Rat at heart.
Cool. She’s attacking him using Hillary as the victim! HA! Besides, Obama Hussein would never pick a woman; Muslims just don’t do that. Besides, to Obama, Hillary is just a cracka’.
I wish I couldn’t count the FReepers who grasp this on the fingers of one hand, with fingers left over . . .
HILLARY IS A LYING, CHEATING, STEALING CRIMINAL!
as if Biden isn’t?
“because thats about the only thing that will keep him from becoming President.”
Sez you! Jeez, whatta LOSER, to give up so easily and have such defeatist thoughts. This race is at least neck and neck and you want to call it for Obama. Well, I guess we all know who YOU are rooting for!
So it will help us win if she goes up there and says Hillary is a nasty B!tch the 18 Million people who voted for her are losers?
"Mindless Sarah worship?"
You better gird your loins, and gird them quick.
Actually, she’s helping ensure that Hillary gets re-elected to the Senate next time around. Just what we need . . .
That’s brilliant!
