As a prospective employer, I would've stopped right there.
But, when it come to the country, the American people are not going to be as scrupulous. They're not looking to hire the man to run their business or their family. They're looking for his promises and what he can get them through the government.

imagine if when you interviewed the canidate for the executive position he told you he was qualified for the position because he had been interviewing for the position
just as obama supporters have told us that obama is qualified to be president because he is running for president.
