And yet if she didn’t bring her kids with her, the’d be investigating her for child neglect. Oh man, this is nauseating.

I agree wholeheartedly with you; the MEDIA NEVER will recover from this campaign — they are out of the closet of supposed “objectivity” and there is no way they can ever be stuffed back in, even Dan Rather is noting how Biden is getting a free ride on his latest gaffe, in this case the absolute truth. I’m no fan of the Clintons, but the bias and one-sided reporting began with the Dem primaries. When Bill or Hillary offered the slightest criticism of Obama, it was “racism”, screamed the media. When she raised topics such as Ayers that the press should have, it was “how dare you ask questions about this man, we won’t”. It has gotten MUCH worse in the general election. WHY is it that someone running for the highest office in the world (aside from Pope) is subject to less investigation (in Obama’s case, NONE) than an employee of the intelligence agencies? Not a word about his days in college and law school, his associate and associations in college. All that was revealed about the “reverend” Wright was drug up by Sean Hannity, who is an opinionmaker and not a journalist. The Ayers story is NOT covered in the press in any way other than to obfuscate it. WHY is it that I have not seen an average of one to two screechingly negative articles about Palin daily in the “conservative” London newspapers and not a word critical of Obama or Biden in the same fishwrap? Why is it that when McCain and Palin drew 20,000+ to Fairfax County, VA rally the Washington Post responded with an eleven paragraph article - EIGHT PARAGRAPHS OF WHICH DEALT WITH THE 30 ASSORTED KOOKS, BUSSED IN UNION MEMBERS AND OLD DECREPITS WHO WERE PROTESTING?

"There was no valid reason for the children to be along on state business," said Knowles, a supporter of Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.

Other than spending time with their Mom, of course, but I wouldn't expect this Dem idiot to even have a family.

< Also, there is no valid reason for Biden's son to be indicted for his job in a field that he had no valid reason to be qualified for, but I guess 3 AP "journalists" were needed to flush out this latest Palin non-story.

Has Steve been off the route home since 1998? Not trying very hard.

God bless the Governor for not abandoning her children because of business. She truly has the best of both world. God bless that woman.

So we have the AP rehashing stories about her kids traveling on the states dime and the NYTimes resurrecting the “she was a last minute pick” story.

Yeah those poop digging expeditions in Alaska must not have gone so well.

Why doesn’t the AP get one of its reporters to Hawaii and investigate whether or not O’s grandmother really IS gravely ill and also dig up a CERTIFIED copy of his birth certificate while over there?
Until then, the AP needs to just STFU.
We are sick to death of their partisan hit pieces.

Obsama has spent nearly a BILLION dollars during this election. How many children would that provide healthcare for? HMMMMMMMMMMMM? How many meals could have been provided to the hungry? How many college educations could this pay for? AP worried about 20 grand LOL.

I guess Newsweek's message is that anybody with minor children are not qualified for any government leadership position anywhere in the United States.

Does Palin also have to pay rent for her husband and children to live in the Governor's mansion, because only she was elected by the people to live there?

$21,012? Didn’t the Obamas spend that much for room service in New York last week?

And that amount is still about 2 ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE (that’s 100 times, for those of you in Rio Linda) less than nObama received from Fannie & Freddie, isn’t it???

Am I just imagining things or was this story reported previously? Like, right after her pick?

Seems like a manufactured attempt to rehash old news.

Also looks like Palin should have kept the jet and Governor’s mansion with the full time servants. It would have cost the state more, but would have been less of headache for her now.

The room service bill for Michelle Xantippe Obama’s lobster, caviar and champagne ‘’snack’’ at the Waldorf came to about $369.00: $294.00 + 20% service chg, plus NY state sales tax.

I’m at the point now with the media that if I ever see any of thse people they will get to know my views on them

Fed up of them not doing their job but being a mouth piece for obama

even McCain camp has had to put in a complaint about NBC and the hit job on Cindy was disgusting.

to think obama use tax money to go to see Odinga and travel Kenya yet the AP thinks this is more important

astounding and speaks volumes for these idiots

This has already been written about and debunked as BS. She did nothing illegal and her expenses were justified. These people are getting desperate a good sign for us because I believe they know Bozo is toast.

Don’t I seem to remember clinton travelling all over the world with an entourage of more than a thousand buddies, all at taxpayer expense? Didn’t it run to something like a billion dollars? I don’t recall the exact numbers.

And of course many of these freeloaders were donors and business connections.

Hey Steve, as someone who has been on this forum longer that you have I ask you to cut out the attacks on Gov. Palin. OK, we get it, you don’t like her. SO WHAT!

It still doesn't reflect well on her. She shouldn't have sought reimbursement for some of those trips on taxpayer's expense. I realize that other governor's do it and probably even more so, but if you run as a reformer, you don't pull stuff like this.

That being said. I think this is forgivable. I'll bet you anything that she'll not do this anymore. And I don't even know what her side of the story is. In fact, I have difficulty trusting much of what is reported by the AP these days.

So, what are we going to do about this media after this election? If they weren't over the top before - and they were - anyone can see how corrupt they are now. These people in the media live in a parallel universe. In one they report aggressively anything to do with conservatives. In the other they just sit quietly by as the corrupt power of modern liberalism is allowed to build.

About the only thing I can think of doing is just educating as many as possible about how worthless the media has become. But I am sure there is more we can do to hit them in the pocketbook.

I bet "Stretch" Pelosi's bill to transport her and family to/from Washington/San Francisco is Mt. Everest sized in cost relative to Gov. Palin's.

This same AP "reporter" needs to spend some equal time on "Stretch's" cost to the AMERICAN tax payer. I'm sure said reporter would be surprised, but we'll never know... 'cause that's how Dempcraps roll.
