I had lunch with a lady who is a lifelong moderate Democrat. She is for McCain but might have voted Hillary. She said the GOP should have nothing to do with Powell after this and that it was a serious betrayal of the GOP. I was pretty shocked she said it and I obviously agree.

She is listening to Glen Beck and Rush all the time now. I think we may get more moderate Dems voting Repub this year.

Oh and she is frightened by Biden’s comments and she thinks he is nuts.

interesting election....we now have dems voting for McCain....four years of listening to Rush and Beck and it will be lots easier for them to vote pubbie a second time and a third....great news for conservativism.

This is my point about the polling. Why on earth should the pollsters ignore the obvious fact that plenty of Dems,
possibly as many as one in five, will be pulling the lever for McCain? Simple math shows that if Obama gets only 80-82% of the Dems’ vote he is toast. New voter are not going to be enough for Obama to win.

Instead, the MSM loves to dig up “lifetime Republicans” saying they will vote for “the one”.
