THE NAKED TRUTH: Strip-search law suspended

The arrest of Angela Swagler and other pro-life protesters is the subject of a multiple-county civil rights lawsuit filed against police and other officials

A county in Maryland has agreed to halt enforcement of a sign ordinance cited when members of a team of pro-life protesters were arrested, shackled and strip-searched while expressing their opposition to abortion.

According to a statement from the Alliance Defense Fund, a consent agreement has been reached that will halt enforcement of the ordinance while its constitutionality is argued in federal court.

"It is unconstitutional to require small groups of Christians to obtain permits to exercise their First Amendment rights in a public area like the one involved in this case," ADF Senior Counsel Kevin Theriot said. "Police used this permit requirement as part of their justification for the unacceptable treatment of our clients, who simply desired to share their pro-life message."

This ordinance is EXACTLY the kind of thing that would be allowed to stand even though it is blatanly UNconstitutional in an Obama administration...American citizens be fair warned.

Under an Obama regime, it will be "Constitution? What Constitution? These are pro-lifers we're talking about here. They have no Constitutional rights."

Pro-lifers under Obama will be like Jews in Germany under the Reich. All rights suspended by decree. And you know what followed from that.

This is unbelievable. They were told to leave county property, they did, and then were arrested in the city!? Sounds like the plan all along to me, to move them to property where the ordinance was enforceable.

My heart goes out to those young girls. I hope they sue everyone involved eight ways from Friday.

Can’t blame the police for carrying out fascist orders from a corrupt administration. The police have to obey orders. They are not allowed to think “this isn’t constitutional”.
The administration is in the tank for the radical baby-hating feminazis. I can understand why. Feminazis are the most powerful political force today. They dole out money to politicians who like killing babies. They destroy the life of any politician who opposes their goals.

Most cops are basically good. It's the few bad cops who give the majority of good cops a bad name. </sarcasm>

Strip-searched not once, but twice? What — are they so incompetent that once was not enough?

The suit against the cops should also target the strip-searching of underage girls as sex crimes. Being a cop is no excuse for not questioning an unlawful order — or an immoral one.

So if the police were to carry out orders to confiscate guns, would you give them a pass on that, too?

If not, then why do you draw the line at that violation of their oath to the Constitution, and not this one?
