Some people (probably a quarter of Freerepublic crowd) believe that the birth certificate issue is legit.

The whole paper trail has to be traced. I believe this is a "true" registration, that came out of an Official Hawaii computer database. However, how did the information get into the computer? How is a baby born at home registered? We know somebody sent a birth announcement to a Hawaii newspaper. Who, the hospital? Maybe. If so, there should be Hospital records proving Obama was born at a particular time, with doctor's signature and height, weight, footprint, etc. THAT IS WHAT WE SEEK.

I agree, Brian. Why is this so hard to follow? I don't see how the factual understanding and import of his birthplace does not go to the very core of our Constitutional requirements.

It looks like the campaign asked the state of Hawaii for a birth certificate and “they” came up with this one. There are no signatures. This 2007 date is that the issue date? Both his parents are dead so who knows. I don't think Obama knows. They are saying he was born at home now? It's a great mystery. I've said if he told the truth in his autobiographies it would have been more entertaining.

THAT IS WHAT WE SEEK.

That, sadly, is starting to stretch things pretty far. As posted above, we now have clear quality convincing photos of a certified acknowledgement by a state that BHO was actually born in the USA. We've gone from a straightforward & reasonable "where's the birth certificate?" to "where's the proof that thing is misleading/forged/improper/etc.?" which is far harder to prove and convict. The burden of proof is now on our side.

(Not to ignore the fact that enough money & pressure can produce desirable results...)
