It’s been said-and correctly too, that no outgoing administration ever handed the U.S. over to their successor in better shape than Eisenhower and Nixon did to JFK/LBJ in 1960.
And that no outgoing administration handed the country over in worse shape to their successor than did the JFK/LBJ folks to Nixon/Agnew in 1968.
