Years ago the demoncrats push through a luxury tax on yachts. Killed the yacht manufacturing. People lost jobs. Liberals just don’t get real economics.

Liberals just don’t get real economics.

"Wealth" is not something that you can "spread around" like butter on toast or manure on a corn field, else, it ceases to be wealth and becomes "spoils" or "booty". The libs see everything as belonging to them, and thus is theirs to distribute to the masses at their whim. They DO NOT like individual achievement and will stomp it out with full vigor, little realizing that it is individual achievement that has gotten them where they are. Imagine, if you would, talking to some lib Oscar winner and saying that they should give up their Oscar for individual achievement in their profession and giving it to the grips and gaffers, food service and cosmetics people, after all THEY worked hard, too. I doubt the actor or actress would be very willing to do that............

This is being talked about on Glenn Beck right now.

Glenn has picked out a new word that has entered the political vocabulary: CHANGE-EL-ISM

I believe that this new word was substitution of socialism or liberalism for the word change.

As George Harrison once said:

Tax the Rich
Feed the poor,
Till there ain't no
Rich no more...

In other words, all this will do is deplete the rich. It will do nothing but provide a temporary favor for the deadbeats - er, I mean poor. One is reminded of the grasshopper and the ant.

They’re doing the same thing to Mike Sodrel in Indiana.

Plenty of rich people that we can tax...

Like yourself, perhaps? Wouldn't it be interesting to check his taxes and see if he pays his "fair share." His colleague Ted Kennedy has never paid his fair share.

And even if by some miracle Mr. Frank does pay his fair share, it is highly likely that he isn't willing to go beyond that even though he claims the government needs more cash. There's nothing stopping him or the rest of the Liberal elites from paying more than their fair share. They're rich. They could afford it. They choose not to pay more. If their not willing to "spread the wealth," why should we, who can't afford it, be forced to pay?

Take a look a zero's 2006 return. He had household income over $600,000 and used the child care deduction to reduce his taxable income. I didn't see where he voluntarily paid more income tax then the minimum after deductions.
