Prop 11 IS a no brainer.

It is a start toward a representative government. CA is unusual in having a government that hardly qualifies as a representative democracy. It is absurd that this has been allowed to happen.

The prop. has been written to be non-partisan, which is why is reads a bit oddly. However, there is little that CA has to lose over the terrible situation we are in now. We need more practical politicos in Sacto, who care about those in their districts.

I am sick of meeting with representatives who don’t care about the views of those in their districts. Currently, they answer to interest groups and party radicals; that’s all.

Vote YES on Prop. 11.

Prop 11 representative government? How is the panel selected? Oh, yeah... they pull a few names out of the hat and then select their friends to fill in the rest of the seats. How does one get one’s name in the hat? Well, they’re chosen by the State Auditor and a couple of other auditors. Who is the State Auditor? Well that’s the person appointed by the Governor. I’m sure Governor Villaraigosa will give the responsibility to a fine compadre. /s

Seriously—this seems as far away from Representative Government as you can get!
