The Crisis Biden Guarantees Can Take Us Over The Cliff
10/20/08 | Vanity History Analysis

Posted on 10/20/2008 11:38:10 AM PDT by Williams

Now that Joe Biden has "guaranteed" the election of Obama will lead to an international crisis within 6 months, as the World tests this "young guy", we all need to be aware that similar testimg has led to monumental disasters in the past.

Biden himself analogized this situation to the election of JFK. In that case, JFK himself recognized that Kruschev took his measure and then took the World to the brink of nuclear war. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/22/opinion/22thrall.html

In short order, after a disastrous meeting Kennedt rushed into "without preconditions", Kruschev erected the Berlin Wall, which Kennedy permitted. Next, Kruschev put nuke missiles in Cuba, and this time the World was almost annihilated. I lived through it and believe me folks we all expected to die in a nuclear war.

The Korean War was started in part because we failed to list Korea as a country we would defend, resulting in North Korea miscalculating and launching an attack that got us into direct war with China, and in which we twice were almost defeated. That war also raised the possibility of nuclear warfare with China.

Certainly the greatest calamities in our history occurred when presidents were misjudged and an enemy decided to "take a chance"

The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor brought us unprepared into World War II because the Japanese believed that by crippling our fleet and launching attacks across the Pacific Rim, Roosevelt would be forced to sue for peace in short order.

The South began to secede following Lincoln's election and before he was even sworn in, leading to our most devastating war.

Joe Biden has "guaranteed" us in no uncertain terms that the election of Obama will bring a crisis in Obama's earliest, least experienced days. No one should assume this just means a "TV crisis". It can mean major reversals and even World War, as it has in the past.

Say, for example, China decides to invade Taiwan. To name just one of the "4 or 5" crises Biden has promised us.

Biden has set up another golf ball on a tee...let’s see if McCain and Palin hit this one. This just seems too easy...

"We’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him."

Scariest words ever spoken.

I agree that there will be a test in the early days of an Øbama presidency.

Not only do I fear our response abroad, I fear the response domestically.

Increased presidential powers, suspension of constitutional rights, etc.

Maybe Biden’s words will come back to haunt the ticket. This will get people thinking do I really want this inexperienced empty suit of a man at the controls when a crisis comes? I suppose Biden will now have to backtrack and explain his silly remarks.

Yep. China, Iran, North Korea and all the weasels surrounding Israel will each see this as an opportunity to act without fear of consequence.

Hell I can see Russia advancing it's agenda as well.

How about the radicals in Pakistan trying to overthrow the government? Al Qaeda/Taliban sensing weakness, consumes Afghanistan again?

There will be a lot of people gnashing their teeth when they realize this was a big mistake. Not the media of course, they will still be blaming Bush lol.

Heck - # 1 will be the fall of democratic Iraq and the slaughter of thousands - when Obama withdraws our troops - snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

It’s weird. It’s like one day Biden feels like saying crap about his friend McCain (”he’s angry”, “not himself,” etc) and then the next day he feels guilty about running down his longtime Senate friend so he knocks his running mate a little as the junior Senator he is.

Anyways, if Biden’s expertise is why Obama selected him then I think we should take note of what that expertise is telling us. Obama’s inexperience is going to get us into a world of trouble. Yeah, the world (ie Western Europe, Russia, al Qaida, and every dictator) hates Bush. But they respect him. What we’re hearing now is the world won’t respect Obama. Oh, they’ll love him, but they won’t respect, or fear him. This is highly problematic.

But, of course, we’re not supposed to be worried about Obama’s lack of experience (and his patsy ways with terrorists and dictators), but rather whether or not the #2 candidate on the GOP side is “experienced” enough. Yeah, right Colin, he is but she isn’t. F-ing sellout.

Somehow I just don’t see Obama as one who would do anything but talk.

Remember all the dictator thugs love the guy.

Good point, this is teh part of Biden’s prediction that is flawed. First, Biden and the other advisors Obama will select are goofball liberals. Second, even if some of them know better they can’t give Obama a “good president” transfusion.
