If that is the case, then prayers, or the lack thereof, will not matter.
I do not believe that. His will is vital, but the desires of His children are also vital. Therefore, my and everyone else’s prayers do matter. Have you not heard of a parent having a set rule but can be convinced otherwise by their child?
