Pigeons sit in a tree in Bucharest. Iranian security forces have arrested two suspected "spy pigeons" near the controversial Nantaz uranium enrichment facility, the reformist Etemad Melli newspaper has reported.
We should start a rumor the IDF has soooper secret cockroach spies too.
How would one go about waterboarding a pigeon?
Tinfoil hat wacko alert
...a black pigeon was caught bearing a blue-coated metal ring, with invisible strings,"
Uh-Oh, the jig is up. I hear they are stool pigeons. At least they won’t sing.
Glad to see that pigeons are still used in warfare, they have a long history. I wonder when PETA will protest this horrible cruelty and humiliation of birds.
The mullahs are kooks, sure, but some of the Iranian op guys are doing their homework. The current trends in micro UAV research revolve around:
1. High persistence
2. “Perch and stare”
3. BioMimetics
Whatzat?
A small UAV that looks like a bird circles down, establishes an LZ that looks proper, and stops there and just observes —this is a lower power/high value task.
And it will just relay info onto another, bigger thing.
I think a hard target like a nuke installation in some denied area like Iran or NK would probably call for a rare, high-value piece of tech like this.
I really doubt these actual birds are one of those new UAV’s, though..!

Pigeons buriend in sand up to head and stoned to death.
Just wait until we unleash our secret “fly on the wall” operation.
LOL! Great pic. As a student currently at the Army Signal School, I can tell you those pigeons probably worked better than half the high-tech stuff we have!
The strings must've given him away...
Poor thing, just trying to build a nest with soda can pull tops and someone's littered floss. I feel bad for the chicks that had their innocent parent taken out, and left to the elements.
"We had a deal!!!"
