Obama, not McCain is playing the race card
Seattle Times.coms ^ | October 19, 2008 | Charles Krauthammer

Posted on 10/20/2008 3:28:08 AM PDT by NCDragon

WASHINGTON — Let me get this straight. A couple of agitated yahoos in a rally of thousands yell something offensive and incendiary, and John McCain and Sarah Palin are not just guilty by association — with total strangers, mind you — but worse: guilty according to The New York Times of "race-baiting and xenophobia."

But should you bring up Barack Obama's real associations — 20 years with Jeremiah Wright, working on two foundations and distributing money with William Ayers, citing the raving Michael Pfleger as one who helps him keep his moral compass (Chicago Sun-Times, April 2004) and the long-standing relationship with the left-wing vote-fraud specialist ACORN — you have crossed the line into illegitimate guilt by association. Moreover, it is tinged with racism.

The fact that, when John McCain actually heard one of those nasty things said about Obama, he incurred the boos of his own crowd by insisting that Obama is "a decent person that you do not have to be scared (of) as president" makes no difference. It surely did not stop John Lewis from comparing McCain to George Wallace.

The search for McCain's racial offenses is untiring and often unhinged. Remember McCain's Berlin/celebrity ad that showed a shot of Paris Hilton? An appalling attempt to exploit white hostility at the idea of black men "becoming sexually involved with white women," fulminated New York Times columnist Bob Herbert. He took to TV to denounce McCain's exhumation of that most vile prejudice, pointing out McCain's gratuitous insertion in the ad of "two phallic symbols," the Washington Monument and the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Beyond me? Why McCain didn’t say BTW, “Umm, not only was Wallace a racist but as most segregationists, a Democrat to boot!”

Time for McCain and Palin to use the race card, I would say. Time for them to start telling the Dems and the media “stop saying anyone who opposes 0bama is racist.” This is the real divisiveness. Republicans have always stood for equal rights for all with special rights for none. For Democrat agitators and left wing columnists and “journalists” to smear McCain supporters and 0bama opponents as racist is evil and counterproductive. They are the ones who foster racial divisions.

The outcry from the media elites would be deafening but this kind of message might just further galvanize McCain’s conservative support. And it might sway a few of those wavering voters.

That very smart psychiatrist is right. He left out another mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, another divisive anti-American. That is 3 divisive anti-American mentors, Wright, Davis and Ayers.

He is also right that Obama has no honor. Obama should be called out on his hypocrisy.

James Cone and Black Liberation Theology, Obama's religion, needs to be exposed, proving that Obama lied about Wright.

-> See Feddoso on James Cone YouTube

Expose the lie and the Obama Brand breaks down. His religion is divisive, anti-American and anti-white church. The 'Uniter' is really a fraud. People will be repulsed by the truth. This is the Democrat's and MSM's Mark Foley scandal. They are covering it up and supporting this fraudster.

This story has been proved to be a reporter's fabrication. I realize this Krauthammer column is several days old, but the fact that he accepted the lie demonstrates the weakness of our insulated-from-reality "news" system.

Just weeks ago, in Springfield, Mo., and elsewhere, he (Obama) warned darkly that George Bush and John McCain were going to try to frighten you by saying that, among other scary things, Obama has "a funny name" and "doesn't look like all those other presidents on those dollar bills." McCain has never said that, nor anything like that. When asked at the time to produce one instance of McCain deploying race, the Obama campaign could not. Yet here was Obama firing a pre-emptive charge of racism against a man who had not indulged in it. An extraordinary rhetorical feat, and a dishonorable one.

After the dollar bill comment, Krauthammer left out the end of Obama's statement ... "and did I mention he is black?".

This paragraph alone made it worth reading. Thanks.

"Remember McCain's Berlin/celebrity ad that showed a shot of Paris Hilton? "

It's time to update the celebrity ad again. There may be more to this liberal
Da Vinci Code of conservative Freudian symbols. He's right - it's a sex thing
with us. Conservative Freudian subliminal symbolism is sexier and unashamedly
pro-erection and pro-male-fantasy. None of this liberal PC unisex castration
nonsense.

I guess Krauth just didn’t like the debate and has come somewhat back to his senses, at least for a while.

Don't count on it. After the 3rd debate how could any thinking person be SOOOOOO wrong. It's no longer hammer time for me. Adios Charles.
