I have to add my dos centavos.

First of all, not breaking news. The surprise would be if he endorsed McCain. However, per my new tagline, he was a member of THIS Republican administration and when he resigned as SECSTATE, he commenced to “tell tales out of school.” Not a sign of good character in my opinion, and in the view of many others.

And, at this time, he could have kept his choice of candidates to himself.

He’s just another affirmative action nobody raised up to phony prominence. He and Scott McLellan belong in the Hall of Shame.

Not only was Powell one of the top officials in THIS current R. administration, but Powell helped greatly in putting us in the current war in Iraq. SO, now we have the bizarre spectacle of one of the officials who helped to put us into Iraq turning on John McCain, who more than just about anyone has seen and urged the correct course for VICTORY there. Great way to support the troops, General Powell.

We have the bizarre spectacle of Powell endorsing Obama, the guy who more than just about anyone has sought to undermine and wreck the war effort. Now, just when victory is in our grasp, Powell supports the guy who wanted to wreck the war effort all along, and Powell undermines the guy who saw and boldly led the way to victory.

Truly a very strange record for a retired General and supposed man of honor. Gee, maybe race has something to do with it?
