Stigall nails it:

In an election year when youth trumps age, speeches trump experience, and "cool" trumps all - sometimes even the most thoughtful among us transform into high school teens who simply want to fit in. Ms. Noonan and her once conservative ilk are this year's homecoming queen candidates and Senator Obama is their football captain.

They don’t call them the “Beltway Boys” for nothing. I agree that they need to get there heads out of Washington and get some fresh air.

While I am a steadfast conservative, this article fairly sums up why I am no longer a republican.

I would like to know, If Palin does not get in this year, for 2012, what is her best scenario?

If she decides for the 2012 Presidency,
Will she go back to be Governor of Alaska for 4 years or will she move to Washington?

Will she have a team to back her up or will she be alone??

Just curious...

Looking at the polls moving McCains way since the debates, guess the All Star Idiots were wrong. Course, sitting there looking presidential trumps all to them. Like they even had to watch the debate to figure that out.

Pray for W, McCuda and Our Troops

Well said. Of all of these so called conservative pundits, the one I am sickest of is Noonan and her syrupy affected “sincere” manner of speaking when she assassinates Palin.

What is interesting is the All Stars if you will were pulling for McCain since day one. Now that he is the head of the ticket they are dumping on him. These people are FUBAR.

Peggy Noonan and how many others are cruising through life on the basis of their having once been “in the Reagan Whitehouse?”

As if Ronald Reagan even knew Noonan’s name, much listened to her cockamamie ideas...

I think her scenario would have to be to stay in Alaska, prove herself with more successes as Governor, cultivate ideas and contacts with conservatives around the country, and prepare to run for POTUS.

What is it with Washington DC? People seem to go bat $hit crazy after living there. Think it’s in the water system?

I talked tonight with a guy who talked last night to some wealthy, older Republicans in Tempe (AZ). They love McCain (puke!), but are not certain they can vote for a ticket with Palin.

I felt the same way, in reverse...but the Country Club Republicans are still with us. And apparently, many of them live in New York with our ‘conservative elite’.

Ms. Noonan should have to come out to fly-over country and spend a few days with all of us Joe the Plumbers. It would probably repulse her so much that it would kill her.

Do Noonan,Parker and Co. even have a following? I have never owned a book by another of them nor have I ever felt compelled to tune to anything just because they would be on. Maybe I’m wrong but they seem like they are the Conservative b-list behind Rush,Coulter,Hannity,Malkin etc. I mean exactly who do they have as a loyal following if conservatives are ticked off at them all the time?

Sorry for the long post but they just seem like irrelevant blowhards to me.
