Do you think the devil appears as himself and gets people to follow? Nope. He appears as an "angel of light". Evil is adept at impersonating Good but our souls know the difference. (We can always choose to follow anyway because we have free will, but if we do, we do it knowingly.)
What does this have to do with the Obama mega-crowd in St. Louis today? The devil can puff himself up to look bigger and more powerful than he really is. It can be very tempting to believe the "awesome" image he creates. (Think Jesus in the desert.) Have faith.
Blacks couldn’t care less about either Bush or Kerry in 2004, so their massive turnout this year should put Obama over the top. On the other hand, Kerry wasn’t a black man himself, and thus no bleed out from white voters. It will be very interesting.
I think the total potential Black vote is what, 26,000,000? 16,000,000 turned out in ‘04. Obama could get an astounding 20,000,000 this time, but do not forget that there are 5,000,000+ Hillary supporters for McCain. What we are then left with is just another run of the mill election, and while the Bush hatred was the largest motivating factor for the Kerry vote, that factor is not as large this time...there is still reason to hope.
