WASHINGTON--The McCain campaign unleashed a furious attack on the New York Times for digging into the background of Cindy McCain--as her attorney asserted the paper is not looking deeply at Barack and Michelle Obama.
Her attorney wrote a stinging letter to the managing editor of the New York Times about how the piece was prepared--claiming a reporter contacted a teen on her Face Book page to get some leads.
In the letter released by the McCain campaign, attorney John Dowd notes that Cindy McCain's battles with drugs and the management of her charitable life have been long reported and then he wonders why the paper has not plowed more new ground with Barack and Michelle Obama.

Cindy’s is old news, Obamas is “no news?”
They haven’t looked for Obama’s drug-dealer because that guy is now gainfully employed as the head of their editorial board. Also he is not allowed to write anything after the Jayson Blair scandal, which is why the NYTimes has such an easy time believing that Black Men on prestigious journals shouldn’t ever have to publish anything like Barack did or rather didn’t on the HL review.
Maybe Obama was the drug dealer.

The NY Times investigates everyone but the presidential candidate himself. He’s an admitted drug user for heaven’s sake. Doesn’t that count for anything? They sure were after Bush over “alleged” drug use. Here we have the candidate himself admitting he used cocaine. No birth certificate, fraudulent registrations Isn’t there anything WE THE PEOPLE CAN DO TO GET ANSWERS? Can we scare up 100,000 to march on Washington?
Is this the same NY Times that implied McCain had an affair, based on some random staffer witnessing a stolen glance between McCain and a random female, or something? Keep crackin’, Times.

Anybody that reads the times for news isn’t going to be swayed by anything. Their mind is already flush with spin. The times is toast.

Well I think Palin has straight up admitted to using marijuana and Bush wouldn’t answer the question (for a good reason IMO) when asked about person illegal drug use, and the Left gave Clinton a pass for saying he didn’t inhale. And most people know Obama has admitted it already. So I think the illegal drugs thing won’t work as an October surprise,
HOWEVER his drug dealer can say it was worse than Obama has lead us to believe...
