The end of the Reagan era was brought to us by the Republican Party, which...is now in danger of becoming...a spectator at the birth of a socialist America...

And yet there are people HERE who say we should elect McCain who, let's face it, is Bush III, and who will continue on with a socialist plan.

Can the Reagan era be resurrected? It can, but only by the party that was responsible for its death. Republicans killed it, and it's up to Republicans to revive it.

I know he means well, but that's silly. It's like putting the *fixing* of the economy into the hands of the people who broke it in the first place. They'll try and take as much as they can from it, even as it's going down. The Republican party already 'is in shambles'. And that's because there are no (or very few) Conservative leaders left in it. Notice that Michael Reagan doesn't even use the word 'Conservative'. Good luck on finding one.

Future looks bleak, no matter who gets elected. What happened to all the Conservatives? Were they all infected by the liberalism of the Left?

The reason the future looks bleak is that for conservatism, capitalism and a real democratic republic to work you have to have an informed electorate. Who informs the majority electorate? Universities and Big media....the public is merely sheep being fed small feed from these elitists. In order for us to take our country back we have to find a way to re-educate the public....that is the largest feat we face...can it be done? Yes...will it be done? Not with a week spined leadership in the G.O.P.....not with a communistic media and congress/president. Pravda looks conservative next to what we have been given to cover the news/events out of Washington. Baghdad Bob was more accurate than MSM....

With that mountain of ignorance in our way how pray tell do we pull it off?

I agree with you.. McLame is no conservative but he’s the lesser of two evils and at least he claims he will try to shrink government and stop the waste unlike George McGovern Wannabe Bush.
