BTTT!
Under the Obama plan, 95 of the American people will get a tax cut....not 95 per cent. :')
Mark Steyn nails it again.
Pretty much all he ever does. :)
True.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
"The heart of the American Dream is aspiration. Thats why people came here from all over the world. Back in eastern Europe, the Joe Bidens and Diane Sawyers of the day were telling Joe the Peasant: Hey, look, man. Youre a peasant in the 19th century, just like your forebears were peasants in the 12th century and your descendants will be peasants in the 26th century. So youre never gonna be earning 250 groats a year. Dont worry about it. Leave it to us. We know better. And Joe the Peasant eventually figured that one day hed like to be able to afford the Premium Gruel with just a hint of arugula and got on the boat to Ellis Island. Because America is the land where a guy who doesnt have a 250-grand business today might just have one in five or ten years time."
And just to be clear, in the audio recording Obama used the “R” word - revenue. Not the net, not the AGI, he said REVENUE. And if that isn’t a holy shiite moment for small businesses everywhere, I don’t know what is.
Thanks to the joys of student-dom I live in a split household on this election. One of my roommates loves to watch Bill Maher, and they were discussing Joe the Plumber and how he isn’t in position to own the business. I said well it is called the American Dream for a reason.
I find it interesting for all of the talk of change from the left, they don’t actually think any can be achieved by one person. To them there is no way Joe would have the fortitude to save and one day own his own business. Certainly not without the government’s help. Kind of a sad outlook on life if you ask me.
And if you can engage them in conversation, ask them "who pays corporate income taxes, you or the corporation?" And when the answer comes back as the latter, ask them where the corporation gets that money.
