(CNSNews.com) – Internal Revenue Service rules have opened up a back-door through which illegal immigrants can obtain an Individual Taxpayer Information Number (ITIN), which in turn helps them enter the U.S. credit market.
The IRS uses ITINs to process tax payments owed by people who are not eligible for a Social Security Number. It is issued regardless of immigration status to people living both inside and outside the country.
Although the IRS states explicitly that ITINs are not to be used for any purpose other than tax administration, banks across the country are accepting ITINs to open new accounts and extend lines of credit to customers who are not eligible for a Social Security Number.
When asked by CNSNews.com whether or not ITINs are being used by people for purposes other than tax filing, Dean Patterson, a spokesman for Internal Revenue Service (IRS), told CNSNews.com: “If a third party accepts an ITIN, we can’t speak to that.”

You have a point...it was slow a few years back...it’s seems to be picking up steam in just the last 6 months....or maybe it’s just me and the election...but i doubt it.
The IRS is a stinking piece of $hit. Illegals are used by landscaping companies, restaurants, construction, etc., etc.,......... And it goes on and on. and nothing is done by the IRS. And what about cheats who are ripping off S.S. They are in abundance and they love to say how they are getting Tax returns. They are all pieces of $hit!!
This isn't news. I've known about this for, uh, about a decade.
Back when I was a teenager I knew about this.
Most people here are probably familiar with ITINs because of the illegal immigration issue.

Sounds like a nice little loop hole created by the bipartisan CFR/Open Borders Lobby powers that be. Illegals applying for ITIN numbers should have been turned over to ICE. Instead, they were provided with a form of US ‘identification’ that opened up ‘ a world’ of possibilities once held only by US citizens.
