I was wrong. I’ve already said as much. I over estimated the integrity of Colin Powell. There is nothing more to say. I do believe Colin Powell lowered himself more today than he did to help Obama. His comments about judges show he never really was one of us to begin with.
Powell showed that in his mind race trumps all.
Oh, sure, he provided other rationalizations, but the idea that someone with his military background could endorse the guy who tried so hard to undermine our troops in the field and to lose the current war, is simply appalling.
Don’t feel too bad. I’ve been involved in politics long enough to know that you can never put too much faith in any one human being. I thought Powell was awesome during the Gulf war, but when he started getting involved in the political side, I thought he started reminding me of a closet Democrat posing as a Republican for political points.
