A Freeper once shared with us that when one is quitting smoking, they are always quitting smoking. Kind of like alcohol.
He said the key was to “become a non-smoker”. At one point in my life a chose to “become a smoker”, now I needed to chose to “become a non-smoker”.
I didn’t “try” to quit. I became something totally different. That was two years ago. When I chose to become a non-smoker, I never had one again. No urges, withdrawals, no temptation.
Of course praying is key to wanting to become anything too.
Congrats to your strength. I haven’t seen your posts for a while. :^)
I wonder if I was that freeper. Sounds like stuff I would say. I definitely agree.
