I've posted about this before.

In 1970, in a Marin County Courthouse, Judge Haley was murdered, DA Thomas (my friend's dad) was paralyzed in the resulting shootout.

Jonathan Jackson (1953– August 7, 1970) was an American black activist from California. He was killed by police after entering the Marin County Courthouse with a machine gun to demand the release of his brother, George, from prison. Later that month the Weathermen bombed the courthouse in retaliation.

Black Panther activist Angela Davis was eventually tied to the case, prompting her to go on the run before being caught and ultimately acquitted on charges of supplying firearms to Jonathan Jackson.

Angela Davis has been teaching in CA colleges for many years.

From this website. I have looked for an original, if so from Washington Post; I think the below is a compilation from various articles in the WaPo:

She went on to joke about Manson’s victims. “Dig it,” said Dohrn at the time. “First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them, they even shoved a fork into a victim’s stomach! Wild!”

1969 Ayers attempted to extort money from the Vietnam Moratorium Committee, demanding $20,000 to abstain from violence during a planned peace protest. After rejecting this demand, a member of the group asked Ayers what he really wanted. “To kill all rich people,” Ayers responded. When another peace activist pointed out that Ayers came from wealth, he answered with an angry slogan: “Bring the war home. Kill your parents.”

Okay... (tapping foot), how long is it going to take for the American Population to wake up and wonder...

Ah, gee.. "The Weather Underground"... late 1960s/1970

and fast forward to today..

"Global Warming" alarmism.

So yes, I agree that Global Warming is of concern. And I most certainly hope to see that the alarmists are caught.

Angela Davis has been teaching in CA colleges for many years.

I got to hear her making a speech in the open area adjacent to the
Student bookstore at UCLA back when the state initiative to ban
discrimination in state business was in play (1995 or 1996?).
She was an AWEFUL public speaker; I sensed that even the generally liberal
undergrads in the crowd started to get restless.
I admit I was still shocked when the initiative passed!

Except for the fact she should probably be sitting in a jail cell,
she actually is the “social justice” speaker I’d pick for public venues.
Her oratory is that Gawd-awful!!!

The way academia has sheltered these criminals (including Ron Karenga
the creator of “Kwanzaa”) is a horrid black mark (maybe red for the
blood of their victims) on “the academy”.

For the younguns that haven’t heard of Karenga:

Ron Karenga
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maulana_Karenga

...chairman of the black studies department at California State University,
Long Beach, a position he held from 1989 to 2002.

Felony conviction and time in prison
In 1971 Karenga, Louis Smith, and Luz Maria Tamayo were convicted of
felony assault and false imprisonment for assaulting and torturing over
a two day period two women from the Us organization, Deborah Jones
and Gail Davis. [2] A May 14, 1971 article in the Los Angeles Times
described the testimony of one of the women: “Deborah Jones, who
once was given the Swahili title of an African queen, said she and
Gail Davis were whipped with an electrical cord and beaten with a
karate baton after being ordered to remove their clothes.
She testified that a hot soldering iron was placed in Ms. Davis’s mouth
and placed against Ms. Davis’s face and that one of her own big toes
was tightened in a vise. Karenga also put detergent and running hoses
in their mouths, she said.”

(VOA note: IIRC, an investigator from one of the Los Angeles tabloids
went to the LA Times archives to find the microfilm on Karenga’s crime.
It was “missing”. Rumor had it that the contemporary account by
The LA Times of the torture was so extensive and ghastly that politically-
correct weinie decided to “erase history”.)
