McCain equates Obama tax plan to welfare
Dallas Morning News ^ | October 17, 2008 | TODD J. GILLMAN

Posted on 10/17/2008 7:26:24 PM PDT by Red Steel

MIAMI – John McCain sharpened his economic attack Friday by accusing Barack Obama of plotting to turn the tax code into a tool for redistributing wealth, an idea he equated to welfare.

"When politicians talk about taking your money and spreading it around, you'd better hold on to your wallet," Mr. McCain told a raucous crowd in Miami, where he debuted the tougher rhetoric. "His plan gives away your tax dollars to those who don't pay taxes. That's not a tax cut, that's welfare."

Mr. McCain has found renewed energy and a forceful voice in harping on Mr. Obama's comment last weekend to "Joe the Plumber," the Toledo man thrust into a national spotlight after he asked Mr. Obama if he would pay higher taxes under the Obama plan.

Mr. McCain, who mentioned Joe Wurzelbacher frequently in Wednesday's debate with Mr. Obama, painted him as an unfairly embattled Everyman caught up in revelations that he isn't a licensed plumber, owes back taxes, and would actually see his tax bill go down, not up, under the Obama plan. He called Mr. Wurzelbacher on Friday morning, their first chat, and he denied suggestions that the McCain campaign might have put him up to the task of asking Mr. Obama about taxes.

"People are digging through his personal life," Mr. McCain said. "He just asked a question. And Americans ought to be able to ask Senator Obama tough questions without being smeared and targeted with political attacks."

Voters in the crowd like Guillermo Miralles, 44, a Miami jeweler, lauded the senator for calling Mr. Obama on an agenda of costly health care and taxes.

"Socialism no, McCain yes," ... "The other guy's for the daydreamers."

Mr. McCain went further, warning that if Mr. Obama wins, "you'd better be careful about who's considered rich."

Finally! using the W-word. Why haven’t they’ve been calling his tax ‘cuts’ what they really are from the beginning? Now, they’ve got to use the S-word. In tv ads quickly.

Looks like McCain finally figured that out. Wonders never cease...

Okay, I think we get the picture. Sheesh, I'm not enamored with McCain's campaign, but he is the far lesser of two evils (he begin a RINO in many instances) and I still plan to vote for him. If you think electing Obama now will help the "cause" in the future, you are dead wrong.

You are not looking at the bigger picture. Getting McCain-Palin in the WH means having the truest conservative in the WH with Palin since Reagan. That's a major step in the right direction.

BO’s disclosure of his plan to spread the wealth around may well be the turning point in this election.

harp on or upon: to dwell on persistently or tediously in speaking or writing:

So, which is it DMN, is McCain being persistent or tedious?

Biased wording.

Finally! Why the [explitive deleted] couldn’t he have called Obama on that lie during the first debate, or even the third?

...by accusing Barack Obama of plotting to turn the tax code into a tool for redistributing wealth, an idea he equated to welfare.

This charge of McCain's is preposterous on its face. Barack Obama is not plotting to turn the tax code into a tool for redistributing wealth. It already is a tool for redistributing wealth because of the Earned Income Credit!

Two weeks before the election he finally buys a clue. Now, was this really so hard??

“Socialism no, McCain yes,” ... “The other guy’s for the daydreamers.”

That should be his new slogan, on signs everywhere at his rallies. Dump the “Country First!”

Oboma wants welfare.
Welfare is tax payer slavery.
Oboma wants to bring back slavery.

The MSM is trying to spin the subject. Instead of Obomas answer, they're talking about Joe. Oboma gets a free pass.

The MSM does this all the time. Remember Linda Tripp?

from Lynn Forester de Rothschild on Cavuto [ http://noquarterusa.net/blog/2008/10/15/lynn-forester-de-rothschild-on-cavuto/]

Obama’s tax increases will affect 10 million seniors and 2/3rds of small businesses (Tax Policy Centre).

“Barrack Obama is not making a secret of the fact that he wants to tax the very people who create jobs who create investment. He is deciding where our money should go”
“This tax cut... is disguised as the biggest welfare giveaway. 40% of people pay no taxes... Those 40% will get a cheque paid for by the people that pay taxes... That is a welfare program... that working Americans who pay by the rules do not want.”

The problem with welfare is that the poor stay poor. ‘Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for life’. Which is Obama agenda.
