I may be way out of line here and have been called a troll for it but I think Rush has crossed the line lately with his doing commercials outside his obscene profits breaks.

Tonight I heard Hewitt interject a “Stamps.com” mini commercial with a caller. It just seems to me that there is a time for the commercials and the rest should be the commentary.

This is what I’m afraid of since Rush sets the standards, we’ll be hearing commercials when we expect commentary.

I’m thinking that advertising money is getting tight and in an effort to keep the people on board is to offer more commercials for the same rates.

Rush has huge ad rates and with the economy going in the dumper there is something going on for Rush to go into new ground.

JMO and I may be way off here but damn, I have less respect for Rush since he started this practice. Ad time is ad time, don’t mess with it.

I dunno. Rush did the renai water heater thing on Joe the plumbers back the other day but if Joe was smart he would run with the free advertising.

It's like when the advertisers had a hissy fit when the VCR and FastFwd became popular. We'll probably have to put up with crap for a while, but if enough people like get fed up and tune, then the market will respond. You're not a troll.
