Obama's legal team seeks special prosecutor for voter registration probe

WASHINGTON – Barack Obama’s legal team wants a special prosecutor to determine whether partisan politics is at play in a reported though unconfirmed Justice Department investigation of a voter registration effort which has been the target of numerous complaints of late, including one in Michigan.
With the election just over two weeks away, Bob Bauer, Obama’s chief lawyer, said in a conference call with reporters this afternoon that he is asking U.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey to to hand over to special prosecutor Nora Dannehy any probe into what Bauer called “bogus claims of vote fraud” that mirror concerns raised by Republicans two years ago....“Are we seeing a repeat now?” said Bauer. “It would seem that we are.”

Bauer said there appears to be an “unholy alliance” between law enforcement officials and Republican officials, including presidential nominee John McCain’s campaign.

Bauer, in his letter to Mukasey, argued that McCain’s claim of widespread fraud are “entirely unsupported” while Republicans want to “harass” and “impede” voters by challenging them at the polls, an accusation GOP officials have denied, saying they only want to combat fraud.
Bogus my a$$! The democRAT Vote Fraud Machine has been running rampant and unfettered since at least 1960 (Cook County, IL) and this is the first time I’ve ever seen any serious inquiry into it. The RAT’s have been doing it for so long now they actually think they’re entitled to it! May their souls rot in hell for destroying what was once the envy of the world; the USA.
My understanding is the Obama’s request is use of his Senate office to interfere with ongoing criminal investigations. That’s a major no-no. May also have RICO implications. If any of the investigators have guts - or a sense of self-preservation - they will take legal counter-action. Probably not enough time for an actual indictment, but it is barely within the realm of possibility.

There are allegations of voter fraud and the FBI is going to investigate. The Obama camp is calling for a special prosecutor, NOT to investigate whether or not there is voter fraud, but to investigate why there is an investigation.
Did I get that right?

He doesn’t want to name the special prosecutor whose job is to investigate voter fraud.
He wants a special prosecutor to investigate those who are complaining of voter fraud.
I read it right. Do you know who Himmler was? Maybe my humor is too subtle.
