No... it's Obama sinking

Obama's the challenger. He needs to close the deal. If he doesn't close the deal, undecideds break for McCain and McCain wins.

If Obama isn't right at 49 or 50% in the last polls before election day, then he hasn't closed the deal.

I just got done taping a plunger to the back of my car. I’ll see how many honks I get on the road this weekend.

Morris told an interesting story about polls on Hannity yesterday. He said that in 1992 ( he was one of Toon’s principal advisors) that 2 weeks before the election, Toon was +7. Bush 41 had been reluctant to hammer on tax and spend theme having famously reneged on “read my lips,” but gave the go ahead to do so, and he and Quayle, in Morris’ words “mostly Quayle,” hit on the theme every day. By the Friday before the election, Morris says, Bush was +4. Then Lawrence Walsh released report stating that he would indict Cap Weinberger on Iran-Contra ( I remember watching Dan Rather in astonishment as he brought Anthony Lewis, the leftist NYT op-ed columnist onto the show for the first 5 minutes to discuss the report). Morris says that Toon has told him in private that that won the election for him. Morris point was that McCain Palin need to concentrate their message on the tax and spend theme exclusively between now and the election.

This is nothing . . . people are just finally getting the courage to tell pollsters that they’re voting for McCain. Before the Joe The Plumber episode, voters who planned to vote for McCain were afraid to admit it. Now that they see Joe being brave, they’re becoming brave, too.

FWIW, when I opened up the living room curtains this morning, lo and behold, there is a McCain/Palin sign in the yard kitty-corner across the street from my house. I've lived here for 23 1/2 years, and they have never had a political sign up before.

I think I'd better go over and meet them this weekend!

The people in my town in Virginia have more signs up than ever they did George Bush. You can not drive down any street without seeing Palin and McCain signs even the back streets.
I talked to a guy who argued with his neighbor across the way till he put up a sign. We can’t give up. There are many conservatives out there that are selfish little children. These same conservatives supported George Bush and his compassionate conservative crap. I supported him twice myself. I supported him because he was the clear better man. I also supported him because I thought that while he might be pushing some big spending ideas that he had balanced it with conservative policy ideas. Well outside of the tax cuts and judges the other conservative ideas fell to the wayside after 9-11.

There is one man who told Bush no on his horrible Medicare Drug program. That man was John McCain. John McCain has also told many of his fellow Senators no on earmarks and on spending. I think now more than ever selfish egotist conservatives should be able to see the value of having a man in the White House that knows how to say no to spending and no bigger government. I don’t agree with John McCain on many things and we would be fools to believe we won’t have to fight him on some things but there is one thing for certain and that is John McCain will not betray our soldiers, our values, or betray us for the sake of protecting and growing government.

Obama, we know where he stands, and intelligence with smooth delivery does not make up for his ideas being wrong. I’ve seen otherwise smart people in the conservative moment fail the test in determining the difference between intellectual moral equivalence and ideas suitable for America. When one does not have the ability to logically assess ideas outside the scope of personality then how can these people claim to be intellectuals? Kathleen Parker, George Will, Peggy Noonan, these individuals seem to have fallen for the most shallow and weak arguments of the left.

It is fitting that a common man from an Ohio town has more of a grasp of right and wrong and what the best of America is than our self appointed conservative intellectuals. I wish they would self reflect on themselves a bit.

I live in West Allis, Wisconsin, a blue-collar, heavily Rat-infested suburb of Milwaukee, so it is a real shock to see all these signs!

I'm not getting complacent, and I know the voter fraud will be a huge issue, but... I have a feeling we are going to win this thing.

I think the attacks are finally sinking in. People don’t realize how big Obama’s connection to Ayers really is. If you punch in “obama ayers” into google, you can get the full details. Seven years after the terrorist attacked us, now we’re turning around and electing a terrorist.

Barack HUSSEIN Obama
