The plan was to leave it behind, most likely in one of our AVLB *scissors bridge* tank chassis-carriers with the hatches thermate welded shut. Most tank battalion engineer bridge support sections had 2 AVLBs, but ours also had an M151 Jeep and a ¾-ton M37 truck. Those were to be our *getaway vehicles.*
