Yeah, some Independent, eh? No way in h*ll! Did you see the way Letterman was leaning forward practically into McCain’s lap, pressing him and interrupting McCain’s answers! Obnoxious behavior even for a talkshow host.
I recall when Obama was close to announcing candidacy and was on the show. Letterman was so fawning, so complimentary, so obviously in love with the very idea — telling the Zero his suit was so beautiful and presidential etc. He was not joking. It was a disgusting and partisan display.
I hate Letterman; have despise him for a very long time. No wonder his ratings are so low.
Who said McCain looked cranky at the second debate? Letterman was was an outright, badgering curmudgeon. I’d like to see him drill Obama that way. Ha. Mr. Independent. Yeah.
